Department of Energy - Solar Decathlon
Marketing Plus was engaged by BP America and BP Solar to consult and provide event management, media production and placement, design and production services in the sponsorship of the Solar Decathlon which has taken place biannually since 2002, on the Mall, in Washington DC. Marketing Plus assisted the DOE and BP to both brand and publicize the event through print and electronic media. The kick-off reception held for dignitaries and Government representatives in the Smithsonian Castle was planned and executed by MPlus. This event has been hosted by BP America and one of the highlights of this ten day event where select Universities compete for the most energy efficient home. These cabin-like structures are planned and built on each campus and then transported to our nation’s capital for display and the actual competition. Marketing Plus played an integral role in the success of this project and the brand and reputation value and leveraging that BP received as a result of its sponsorship.
